Texas will stop bussing illegal aliens when Biden secures US-Mexico border

"All Biden has to do is replicate what Trump did, and that would lead to a reduction in border crossings, and that would lead to the elimination of us bussing people across the country," said Gov. Abbott.

As liberal hysteria worsens over Texas governor Greg Abbott sending illegal immigrants that crossed the southern border into his state to sanctuary cities like New York and Washington, D.C., he fired back on Friday, saying that he would only stop once the Biden administration enforces immigration laws.

"We do have a plan to stop this process, and the plan begins with the Biden administration finally securing the border," said Gov. Abbott to Bill Hemmer of FOX's America's Newsroom program when asked if there was a plan of action to halt the bussing of migrants out of Texas. "Remember this, it was just two years ago, we had the fewest border crossings in decades because the Trump administration was enforcing the immigration laws," the governor continued. "All Biden has to do is replicate what Trump did, and that would lead to a reduction in border crossings, and that would lead to the elimination of us bussing people across the country."

In June, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed in a press conference that "the border is closed."

However, the Biden administration's actions align more with a border that is open.

When President Biden took office in 2021, he reversed a number of Trump-era border policies, and announced plans for a more humanitarian approach to illegal immigration. It is estimated that nearly 5 million illegal aliens have entered the US since Biden took office.

Gov. Abbott's statement comes as he faces criticism from Democrats for not harboring illegal immigrants, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saying that he should step down from his position after he successfully bussed another 100 migrants to DC. In total, more than 7,400 migrants have been bused to the nation’s capital, and over 1,500 have been sent to New York City, according to the governor’s office.
"Maybe you should consider if this is the right work for you," the socialist New York congresswoman tweeted.

The most recent buses from TX arrived at  DC's Naval Observatory, which is just outside of Vice President Kamala Harris's residence.
