Following a post made to Twitter threatening violence against Supreme Court justices for overturning Roe v Wade, a Texas woman received a visit from a federal agent and two police officers.

On Thursday morning at around 11:30 am, a Department of Homeland Security special agent as well as two police officers appeared at the door of Madeline Walker.

Walker was handed a letter warning her to cease and desist making threatening posts, which was written by Special Agent Joshua Henry of DHS’ Threat Management Branch.

"This letter is in reference to your recent post on Twitter," the letter began. "Specifically, on June [24], 2022, you became upset at the Roe Vs Wade decision and stated, 'Burn every f*cking government building down right the f*ck now. Slaughter them all. F*ck you god d*mn pigs.'"

The post was made hours after the Supreme Court handed down their decision, and in response to Biden speaking on the court’s ruling.

"This letter is to advise you that any further communications containing any real or implied harassment/threats against the personal safety of agencies, employees or contractors towards government facilities are unwarranted and unwelcome," the letter continued.

"You are advised as of the date of this letter to cease and desist in any conduct deemed harassing/threatening in nature, when communicating to or about the federal government. Failure to comply with this request could result in the filing of criminal charges for violations of 18 United States Code Statue 115."

The code referenced by the letter is titled, "Influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a Federal official by threatening or injuring a family member," with punishments ranging from fines to as many as 30 years in prison.

"In closing, please refrain from any harassing/threatening language when contacting any government agency."

Walker posted the letter to Twitter, writing, "This was such a nice way to get woken up this morning. 4 cops banging on my door."

In a reply to her own post, Walker continued, "Reminding everyone that Pastor Dillon Awes of Stedfast Baptist Church in Fort Worth is allowed to preach that gay people should be 'lined up against the wall and shot in the back of the head.' when people reported him to the police they said 'free speech,'" referencing an article from NBC News.

Speaking with the Dallas Morning News, Henry confirmed that the letter is authentic, with Director of Communication for the Federal Protective Service Robert Sperling confirming that the letter that had been posted to Twitter was indeed delivered.

"She’s kind of taking it as a joke," Henry told the Dallas Morning News. "She’s not remorseful about these statements, so that’ll be presented a United State Attorney and they’ll make a decision on [sic] that."

Walker has since locked her Twitter account.
