Toronto police say that they have pulled a body out of Lake Ontario this morning. CP24 reports the body was pulled out near Bluffer’s Park.
This is the third body that has been pulled out of the lake in the last 48 hours.
Police would not confirm if it was the brother of a 30-year-old man who was found on Saturday night. The missing brother, 23, was unaccounted for after he and his brother had trouble getting to the shoreline while swimming in the waters at Bluffer’s Park.
The search for the missing man has been ongoing since Saturday night. Emergency crews were first called to the lake on Saturday to help two different men who jumped in the water to rescue a 10-year-old boy. The boy had minor bruising and the two men received non-life-threatening injuries.
Earlier on Saturday, police had pulled another body from the water at Bluffer’s Park after a boater saw a person in the water who was not breathing.
Police said this incident is being treated as suspicious as the body was already in a state of decomposition and will wait until a post-mortem is concluded to determine how the investigation proceeds.
