Sunday's game between the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers has been postponed to either Monday or Tuesday, according to ESPN.
The NFL released a statement Wednesday saying that a new date will be announced for the postponed game, adding the brief delay will "allow additional time for further daily COVID-19 testing and to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel."
Five people within the Titans organization have tested positive for the contagion—including starting nose tackle DaQuan Jones, long-snapper Beau Brinkley, practice squad tight end Tommy Hudson, and five team personnel members.
"I know there's going to be a lot of questions about the game and about who's to blame and where it started. Nobody's to blame. We're in a pandemic," Vrabel said. "... This is a very unfortunate situation, but one that we're confident that we will be able to handle safely with the football team and the players' best interests in mind."
ESPN reported that the Minnesota Vikings—the most recent opponent of the Titans—did not have any personnel test positive for the virus in their most recent round of testing.
