A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Monday in connection to a shooting which took place at Dixington Parkette in Etobicoke.
The shooting took place in the early morning of Friday, April 17th. According to police, a group of people were seen entering a vehicle in Dixington Parkette with the driver being the 16-year-old boy.
Police say the group drove to an area near Driftwood Parkette, firing multiple rounds into an empty parking lot.
The group then returned to Dixington Parkette where a 22-year-old man was shot. It is unclear if the man was targeted in the shooting.
The victim was transported to a trauma centre with non-life threatening injuries.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with attempted murder, occupying a vehicle with a firearm, possession without a license, possession of a loaded firearm, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
