Toronto daycare worker accused of sexually assaulting child he was caring after

A daycare worker in Toronto was arrested under charges related to sexually assaulting a child in his care last Monday, according to a press release from Toronto Police.

Ta-Hath Martin, 45, allegedly sexually assaulted a child repeatedly at the daycare he was working at between Apr 12, 2018 and Dec 18, 2020.

The alleged assaults took place at Not Your Average Daycare (NYAD) at 61 Dorcot Avenue in Scarborough.

Martin had been employed by NYAD since 2003 and had worked at multiple locations owned by the daycare franchise. These locations include Corvette, Midland, Guildwood, Scarborough Village, Progress, and Donwood.

Martin has been charged with both sexual assault and sexual interference. He is scheduled to appear in court on Mar 5.
