Toronto man charged after allegedly sexually assaulting three women last week

Barnes' alleged sexual assaults occurred on consecutive days.

Toronto police say they have arrested a man in connection with three sexual assaults that occurred near Jane and Sheppard last week.

24-year-old Jevaughan Barnes of Toronto was arrested on Monday, and will face charges of sexual assault, assault causing bodily harm, and failure to comply with probation, a news release by the Toronto police says.

Barnes' alleged sexual assaults occurred on consecutive days. The first assault allegedly took place on Thursday near Sheppard Avenue West and Buckland Road, where a 55-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted.

The second took place on Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West, where a woman again said she was sexually assaulted.

The third incident took place near Arleta Avenue and Spenvalley Drive.
