A Toronto man has been charged with 138 counts after an online child luring investigation by the police, according to CP24.

The 35-year-old man impersonated a famous online children's star in order to obtain illicit photos and videos of children.

Police have stated that the man set up a number of social media account where he impersonated famous celebrities. Earlier last month, police conducted a search of the  Lawrence and Midland area of Scarborough in Ontario.

In November, the police finally arrested and charged the man. His name is  Jose Paolo Caoitan. He was charged on the 25th of that month.

Police have charged the man with 138 offences. This includes 43 counts of luring a child, 18 counts of invitation to sexual touching, and 25 counts of making child pornography.

On top of this, he received 23 counts of violating a prohibition order regarding children.

The police have expressed concerns that there may be other children who were caught up in this alleged crime. Anyone with further information has been asked to contact the Toronto Police.
