A Wednesday traffic stop in Arizona led to the quick expedition of a search warrant, which in turn led to the police finding a toddler sleeping in a locked room next to massive quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
The Sheriff's Office for Yavapai County stated that a pound of the meth was found along with over 500 pills containing the deadly fentanyl during the execution of the above-mentioned search warrant.
According to Blaze, Amber Dawn Lee was stopped by police during what was initially thought to be a routine traffic stop, but Lee was noted as being "excessively nervous" at the time.
Police called in a K9 unit to investigate further, which turned up 200 pills of the fentanyl in her backpack, as well as a further undisclosed number in one of her shoes.
That was when the search warrant was sought, after which "Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking personnel knocked at the home and announced their entrance into the house."
"Once inside, they said they discovered an 18-month-old child sleeping in a locked room with 500 pills of fentanyl and a pound of methamphetamine."
Robert Dunmire, 37 years old, was at the residence at the time of the execution of the search warrant. He was belligerent, and fought with officers. Both parties have now been arrested and charged with multiple crimes each.
