When speaking a press conference in the Rose Garden on Friday with President Donald Trump, Dr. Moncef Slaoui said that he feels confident that the U.S. will be able to deliver a few hundred million doses of vaccine by the end of 2020.
Slaoui spoke about a project called “Operation Warp Speed” which was just unveiled by President Trump and is meant to manufacture and distribute a proven vaccine for coronavirus as fast as possible.
“I have very recently seen early data from a clinical trial with a coronavirus vaccine and this data made me feel even more confident that we will be able to deliver a few hundred million doses of vaccine by the end of 2020,” said Slaoui.
