Two FBI agents were shot dead while executing a search warrant against a man who has been tied to a case involving child pornography, Fox News reports.

The shooting took place in Sunrise, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, at around 6:00 am. Three other agents were shot during the raid, but have not succumbed to their injuries.

Local residents were asked to stay in their homes as investigators shut down Nob Hill Road, the street on which the alleged child pornographer lived. Police eventually ended the road shutdown but told residents that there would be a heavy police presence for the time being.

Multiple police departments from local communities were on the scene in addition to the FBI. The suspect in the crime had reportedly barricaded himself in his home.

A Fort Lauderdale Police Department spokesperson said that a "small SWAT contingency" was also assisting at the scene.

Police did not name the suspect.
