A shooting at McKinley High School in Buffalo, New York has left one security guard and a student injured by gunfire.
Buffalo News said the shooting occurred at around 3:45 pm. The male student was rushed to Oishei Children's Hospital after being shot multiple times. The security guard was shot in the leg. The condition of the injured student is unknown, while the security guard’s injuries are described as "non life threatening" and was being treated at Erie County Medical Center.

Officials told the outlet the incident occurred "outside the building, but still on school grounds" as a result of two groups fighting with each other.
At the time of publishing, the suspect appears to still be at large. A shelter in place order is in effect for the area. According to WKBW, evening classes at Buffalo State College have been canceled because of the shooting incident.
Buffalo Police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge told media outside the school that there are still students inside the building, who are not allowed to leave at this time.

"We are gathering the most updated data at this time. I will respond accordingly once we have complete data," said a spokesperson for Buffalo Schools.
Per the Independent, there were reports of an armed person near the campus by 4:22 pm, causing a shelter-in-place order to be issued.
Buffalo police currently have no suspects.
