In an interview with CBS This Morning, HHS secretary said that Biden's detainment centers for migrant children are "pretty much at capacity" and that they need to find more space.
Secretary Xavier Beccera was asked about how much space there is left for migrant children at the facilities. The answer was not much at all.
Beccera said that "they keep coming" when referring to the flood of illegal immigrants and viewers got a sense that the crisis might be starting to get out of control. Beccera did not present any sort of plan for what is to happen when the current system can no longer handle the numbers of children.
Health and Human Services has over 20,000 migrant children in their facilities as a result of the border crisis. In all, around 18,000 migrant children arrived at the Southern border in March, an all time high.
According to CBS News, some facility are at a shocking 1,600 percent capacity because of the Biden administration's crisis leading to serious humanitarian concerns raised by those like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
The detainment centers these children are being kept were called "concentration camps" by Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) during the Trump administration. However these former critics have been nearly silent since the Democrats entered the White House. President Biden refused to call the crisis at the border a crisis until last week and the mainstream media has also instructed their writers to not use the word crisis.
The Biden administration announced upon taking office that unaccompanied minors at the border would not be turned away, and so far, the world has heeded that as welcome call to enter the US.
