A Toronto dump truck driver has been charged after being caught on video pushing another vehicle up the on ramp on the Gardiner Expressway.
The video, which was shot downtown, depicts a red dump truck pushing a red Mini up the ramp and on to the Gardiner Expressway.
"The dump truck continued up the ramp and onto the expressway, pushing the vehicle sideways the entire way. The dump truck was flagged down by passing motorists," Toronto police said.
The two vehicles collided around the bottom of the ramp around Lake Shore Boulevard and Jarvis Street, but the dump truck driver did not cease moving after striking the vehicle. The collision took place around 10:00 am.
The Mini driver did not sustain any major injuries and was not transported to hospital.
The dump truck driver, meanwhile, has been charged with multiple driving offences.
Social media users predictably reacted with shock to the bizarre incident.
Others suggested that the driver of the dump truck must have had a case of road rage, struggling to come up with another possible explanation for the driver's behaviour.
Some users also joked that the Mini driver may have cut off the dump truck, and the dump truck's driver was just doing what many drivers wish they could do.
