"These (mandates) are wrong. It violates bodily autonomy. When we allow corporations or governments to tell us what is best for our health that is a scary place to be."

Former ESPN reporter Allison Williams joined FOX News' Tucker Carlson on Wednesday to discuss resigning from the network after getting sidelined for not complying with the vaccine mandate.

"I felt like I had no other choice," Williams said.

"There was really no compelling health reason for me to get this injection," Williams added. "It really just came down to keeping my job."

Allison Williams, who recently signed on with the Daily Wire, told Carlson that she was previously diagnosed with COVID and wants to make her own decisions on whether or not she gets the vaccine. Williams said she is in the process of trying to grow her family with her husband.

"I want to make it clear," Williams said. "I am not anti-vaxx but I am absolutely anti-mandate."

"These (mandates) are wrong. It violates bodily autonomy. When we allow corporations or governments to tell us what is best for our health that is a scary place to be," Williams continued. "I really felt compelled to stand up and speak out against these mandates. Because I think if we don't, we really are opening ourselves up to some longterm ramifications at this time."

Williams will be leading a special sports series which is slated to become an exclusive part of the Daily Wire's content.

In a statement last Friday, Williams said she was "honored" to join a media company that "...fights for our rights."

"The Daily Wire is one of America's fastest-growing media companies and I am thrilled and honored to join them. I am proud to be a part of a company that fights for our rights and I cannot wait to bring agenda-free sports reporting to the Daily Wire's members and millions of followers."
