WATCH: Georgia governor blasts MLB for being headquartered in New York where voting laws are more restrictive

Major League Baseball announced on Friday that they would be moving their annual All-Star Game out of Atlanta in reaction to Georgia's passage of new voting laws. In response, Governor Brian Kemp suggested that the MLB doesn't even know what the voting laws are like in their home state of New York.

Speaking to Tucker Carlson, Kemp said, "Well, it's so hypocritical, too. It's just like Major League Baseball, headquartered in New York, they'll just fly into New York. I'm sure Coca Cola sells a lot of product in New York."

"Well you look at New York's voting laws: you have to have an excuse to vote absentee by mail in New York. You do not in Georgia. If you want to vote absentee here, you can do it," Kemp told Carlson.

"We have 17 days of in person early voting, before the election, for people to participate. We now have two more optional days if counties opt in to that on Sundays. It's actually in this bill that was expanding access for voting opportunities early.

"New York has 10, so we have either seven or nine days more that New York where Major League Baseball is headquartered. I guess we should be boycotting y'know, them, for having their headquarters in New York because their law is more restrictive than hours. I mean, this is all ridiculous," Kemp said.

President Joe Biden backed the corporate cudgel being used against Georgia by MLB, which has been taken up by both Coca Cola and Delta. Biden's comments came before MLB's decision, as activists continued to call for the re-locating of the MLB All Star game set to take place on July 13 in Truist Park, Georgia, home of the Braves.

"Look at what's happened across the board. The very people who are victimized the most are the people who are the leaders in these various sports, and it's just not right," Biden said. "This is Jim Crow on steroids, what they're doing in Georgia and 40 other states."

Georgia's voter ID law, titled the Election Integrity Act of 2021, makes it so that citizens are required ID to cast their votes. These ID's can be obtained free of charge. While many have taken up the rallying cry that it prevents people from getting food or water while waiting to vote, it merely prevents bribery and electioneering by campaign staff or volunteers. Non-partisan volunteers are free to give water or food to whoever they like in voting lines.

Former President Donald Trump released a statement late on Friday condemning Major League Baseball's decision to pull the All-Star Game from Atlanta.

Trump said: "Baseball is already losing tremendous numbers of fans, and now they leave Atlanta with their All-Star Game because they are afraid of the Radical Left Democrats who do not want voter I.D., which is desperately needed, to have anything to do with our elections. Boycott baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair Elections. Are you listening Coke, Delta, and all!"
