Footage from inside a migrant detention facility has been leaked as the Biden administration continues a media blackout on reporters speaking with border patrol agents or entering the facilities.

The video shows migrants being crowded into plastic holding rooms with only sheets of tinfoil to use as blankets. Some of the footage also depicts migrants receiving food and washing their hands at a sink.

The footage comes one day after a Texas Congressman released leaked images from inside a migrant detention facility in Donna, Texas. The facility in the video appears to be the same location.

The Biden administration has faced heavy criticism from Republicans for their handling of the ongoing crisis at the border. The United States has seen a massive spike in border crossings since former President Donald Trump left office in January, especially among unaccompanied minors, of which 14,000 are estimated to be in federal custody.

The sudden surge in migrant crossings has overwhelmed border patrol and has left thousands of migrants in overcrowded detention facilities. Many have compared the conditions within these facilities to those seen during periods of the Trump administration, when the government was widely maligned for placing "kids in cages."

Republicans have accused Biden and the Democrats of stoking the crisis by promoting open border policies which the United States is unequipped to handle. Some Democrats have also criticized the administration's handling of the border situation, with Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) saying that the United States has "to stop kids and families from making the dangerous trek across Mexico to come to the United States."

Since entering office, Biden has introduced a number of executive orders regarding immigration, including placing a moratorium on deportations, although the order was temporarily blocked by a judge.

The Democrats have also introduced legislation designed to give amnesty to large numbers of illegal immigrants, including one bill whereby any illegal agricultural worker who has worked in the United States for 180 days or more may apply for amnesty.

The Biden administration has responded to the crisis by insisting that illegal immigrants can come to America, but not "now," noting that the country does not currently have the necessary infrastructure to support the migrants.
