"You mentioned the nursing home scandal, I think that's a far bigger issue right now facing the administration," Emmons said.

The Post Millennial's Libby Emmons took to Fox Business on Monday to explain why she believes that the alleged coverup of nursing home deaths in New York, and not the sexual harassment allegations, is the real scandal facing Governor Andrew Cuomo.

"I don't think he really acknowledged [the sexual harassment scandal]," Emmons told Fox Business host Jackie DeAngelis. "To the extent that anything happened with these women, I think he probably should explain himself and I think probably the administration should do something about that."

Emmons said it was clearly obvious that something did happen between Cuomo and these women, and commented that it was "fascinating" that the women coming forward are members of his own party.

"You mentioned the nursing home scandal, I think that's a far bigger issue right now facing the administration," Emmons continued. "What is fascinating is that it took these much more personal allegations for this to really start blowing up.

"I think that kind of says something about the kind of landscape we're living in when two adult women can say that they felt uncomfortable at work and that's a bigger deal than having underreported some 50 percent of nursing home deaths," Emmons continued. "I think it does speak also to where the Democratic Party is right now, they're so much more obsessed with identity and that kind of political thing as opposed to actually being held accountable for real-world consequences of these failed pandemic responses."

DeAngelis drew contrasts between the treatment of Cuomo versus the treatment of Brett Kavanaugh during his Supreme Court nomination, noting that the sexual assault allegations against Cuomo were ignored for a while.

"What a lot of people on the right end up doing is saying 'if you're going to have these rules, then you need to play by these rules,' and it doesn't seem like the Democrats want to play by their own rules when it doesn't suit them," Emmons said.

Emmons referred to the sexual harassment allegations against then-candidate Joe Biden last year, pointing to it as an example of hypocrisy on the part of the Democrats.

The discussion then turned back to the nursing homes scandal.

"I believe the administration has basically admitted to having covered up the number of people who died in nursing homes for political reasons because they didn't want Trump to be able to use that against the state," Emmons said. "It's clear now that the pandemic response that we had that killed so many people in nursing homes, where we had such a high death rate, where we had such high hospitalization rates... it needs to be explained against states that are open and have way less per capita deaths."

Emmons pointed to Florida as an example.

"It's unbelievable, they just have normal life there."
