A popular apple orchard outside the Oshawa area went up in flames on Sunday.

The Algoma Orchards in Clarington saw huge flames that took fire crews hours to extinguish. No one was injured, and the flames did not damage the main building.

Algoma Orchards said in a Facebook post that the facility was salvaged from the fire as flames were kept in the back yard.

"Our sincerest thanks to all the emergency responders, firefighters, police and ambulance, who worked tirelessly to contain the blaze," the statement reads.
