When Ahmed Shabaan noticed that an oncoming vehicle was being chased by police, he lept into action, ramming the suspect with his semi-truck.

As Fox 11 reports, Shabaan was driving down a road in Pomona, California and use the size of his semi-truck to block the oncoming vehicle. He stated that he just wanted to help "get him off the street". "If I didn't", he continued, "and [officers] have been behind him for that long and didn't stop him... I have the power."

According to Fox 11, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department had tried to apprehend the suspect earlier in the day, but when things got physical, he got in a pickup truck and drove away. Thus began the chase, wherein the suspect is said to have been going as fast as 90mph on Highway 60.

The suspect is now in custody, while his passenger, who claims no knowledge of the crime, has been let go. Shabaan left the crash unharmed.
