WATCH: Trudeau again refuses to criticize Chinese authoritarian government

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has come under fire recently for going too easy on China, yet Canada's elected leader continues to not do himself any favours.

At his daily press conference on Friday, the PM was asked why his government had so much reluctance in acknowledging China's faults in the global pandemic, which has been confirmed in over two million people, globally.

Trudeau again deflected his answer, saying "my job right now is to ensure that Canadians get the best support... That means ensuring that the cooperation and the collaboration on the international stage is done properly."

The non-answer isn't the first of its kind for Trudeau, who has now repeatedly dodged and weaved his way through press conferences. Days ago, Trudeau refused to acknowledge questions surrounding concerns that the WHO's legitimacy had been tarnished.

The Trudeau government has continually been apologetic to China, with the likes of Health Minister Patty Hajdu even calling claims that the Communist Party potentially altering their data was a "conspiracy."

All of this for a country and government which Trudeau has shown admiration for, praising the country's "basic dictatorship."

The Trudeau government also gave China a sizable $41 million in 2019 for mostly environmental action.
