White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki took a question from a reporter on Tuesday about the apparent "rebranding" of the current administration to the Biden Harris administration.
"Is there anything to be read into the sort of rebranding of the Biden administration to the Biden Harris administration?" A reporter asked.
"Rebranding?" Psaki asked incredulously.
"Well when you look on the website, it's y'know, it's Biden Harris, and that's not necessarily been the norm in the past. Is there any message being sent by that? Or what's meant to be extrapolated from that?"
"I would take from it that Vice President Harris is an important partner. She's the first in the room, the last in the room, if she's in town and not traveling around the country. It's a reflection of the important role that she will play moving forward."
The website for the White House clearly states "The Biden-Harris administration."
In December, then-President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris were announced as TIME Magazine's Person of the Year. This was the first time a President has been named "Person of the Year" alongside his VP. This was a surprise to many as Kamala Harris was not even in the shortlist. When Harris ran for the Democrat Party's presidential nomination in 2020, she obtained some 3 percent of the vote.
