Monday during a White House press briefing Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre if President Biden areed with Vice President Harris' comments that the "Supreme Court decision on abortion access is similar to slavery."

Earlier in the day, VP Harris said to the NAACP, "we know, NAACP, that our country has a history of claiming ownership over human bodies. And today, extremists, so called leaders, are criminalizing doctors and punishing women from making healthcare decisions for themselves."

"She is correct," Jean-Pierre immediately answered, "Today's decisions are criminalizing doctors and essentially taking the rights away from women, taking the freedom away from women, really taking away people's privacy that does matter. And that is important."

Doocy followed with "So the President agrees?"

The press secretary first said she would "need to actually see exactly what was was said" and know the "complete context" before saying "the Vice President is actually right."

VP Harris had said the exact phrase "our country has a history of claiming ownership over human bodies" and compared the overturning of Roe v. Wade to slavery earlier in June at New Orleans' Essence Festival. Harris has also compared the events of January 6 to the Islamic terrorist attacks of on September 11, 2001 and the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Jean-Pierre continued about the Supreme Court's decision to send abortion legislation back to the state. She told Doocy, "I just laid out what women are going through in this country because of an extreme decision that SCOTUS made, because of what they did. It is going to up and change the lives of women across the country."

She warned that now "we have to be mindful about contraception. We have to be mindful about marriage equality" and that "extreme Republicans, Ultra MAGA Republicans, have made it clear that that is what they're going after next. So that does matter." The deployment of the term "Ultra MAGA" took six months of research by adviser Anita Dunn and the Center for American Progress Action Fund to come up with for use.

Biden has invoked Ultra MAGA to describe parents who criticized giving children life-changing hormones and puberty blockers for the sake of gender ideology. Biden also blamed Ultra MAGA for his economic woes.
