Authorities are looking for a single suspect after the shooting of two police officers. The suspect reportedly fled the scene.
The incident happened just after midnight on Friday in Delafield, Waukesha Country, in southern Wisconsin.
According to Fox News, the officers were holed up in a hotel room dealing with other police business, when they heard a car accident outside. The officers were investigating the scene when the suspect allegedly began firing.
He then fled the scene on foot. Police have confiscated the suspect's vehicle, which was left at the scene.
The suspect has been identified as one Nathanael Benton. It was found that Benton has another outstanding warrant for his arrest in Fargo, North Dakota.
Two other people were taken into custody at the scene, although they reportedly did not have anything to do directly with the shooting incident.
The officers and shooting victims work for the Delafield and Hartland Police Departments, respectively. They are both currently in hospital and reported to be in stable condition. They are expect to make full recoveries.
