A woman in Vacaville, California shocked to receive bills totaling over $1.3 million for her time spent hospitalized with coronavirus, KTLA reports.

The woman had suffered a severe case of coronavirus and had to be rushed to a hospital in the middle of the night after initially being brought to an emergency room by her husband.

After that, her husband did not see her for nearly a month as she underwent treatment.

Despite being given a mere 30 percent chance of survival when doctors contacted her husband, Patricia Mason pulled through and ultimately survived the deadly disease.

Now, the 51-year-old is left with medical bills totaling $1,339,181.94.

California has recorded over 3.4 million cases of coronavirus and over 44,000 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
