A package of a suspicious nature was found on a street in the Yorkville section of downtown Toronto at around 1am on Monday
"A chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive team attended the scene to neutralize the item," according to CP24.
The package in question was spotted near the intersection of Avenue Road and Webster Avenue. A team of experts from the Toronto Police Department rushed to the scene to identify and neutralize any possible dangers regarding the package.
Webster Avenue has been closed for both vehicle and pedestrian traffic from Avenue Road to Davenport Road but is expected to be open shortly.
No news is available on the exact nature of the package at this time.
