'You were made for this moment': Blake Masters urges young Americans fight for the American dream

"We my friends, are the frogs in the pot. They are turning up the water. The question is, are we bold enough to do something about it?"

Speaking from Turning Point USA’s Americafest on Monday, Blake Masters told the crowd that "God put you here on this earth in this moment."

"You were made for right now. With your unique combination of skills and interests and your potential, who are we to waste our potential?" Masters, who lost his race against incumbent Democrat Senator Mark Kelly, told the crowd.

Addressing the young crowd at Turning Point USA’s event, Masters said, "we have to fight fire with fire. Otherwise, we're not going to have success and so I know there's a lot of young people in the audience. It's money, and it's technology, in addition to election integrity, but if you are in your 20s and you're thinking how do I spend my time, how do I spend the next 10 years making sure that conservatives and Republicans win? Get involved in those verticals."

Masters told the crowd that candidates and the Republican party need help, and that "one huge reason why I ran for office is because I just see in my own generation, the American dream is being destroyed."

Noting his relatively young marriage compared to the rest of the modern population, Masters said "For our society, this is a bizarre inversion of the American dream.

Most of his millennial peers, Masters said, are not married, have no children, and "don’t feel like they’re on track to own a home."

"And that’s just for the millennials. You poll Generation Z, the generation below us, kids in their 20s, and they do not feel like they’re on track to do any better than their parents."

"We are losing the American dream here, and man, it would be one thing if we had these problems and it was like, hey red alert, Democrats and Republicans all have their ideas on how to solve them.  No, it doesn't seem like most people in our political establishment or most people in American business even care."

"We could talk for days about the bizarre malinvestment, and all these woke initiatives. Let's get back to focusing on productivity and innovation," Masters continued.

Masters later added, "We my friends, are the frogs in the pot. They are turning up the water. The question is, are we bold enough to do something about it?"

Masters called for an end to the border crisis, bringing back American production, teaching "useful skills instead of bullsh*t perverse ideology in school,"

"We do all that and I promise you, we will incentivize a new generation of innovation that we haven't seen in a long, long time."

Closing out his speech, Masters offered a vision of American life in 30 years.

"30 years from now, we should be producing our own energy," with at least more than half of it coming from nuclear energy, said Masters.

"We need to be producing our own industrial inputs, our own silicon chips, our own rocket ships right here in America, no more Chinese crap."

"Young people will be getting married in their 20s, they’ll be having children, they’ll be buying and affording homes again."

"Everyone will have meaningful opportunities to learn real skills. No one will be silenced because of political correctness. And America will be taken seriously as a normal and extraordinarily stable country again," said Masters.

"We can achieve that. As long as I’m breathing, that’s what I’m working towards. I know you’ll join me in the fight."
