Bette Midler accuses Kyle Rittenhouse's loved ones of 'grooming' for teaching him gun safety

"Kyle was taught at a young age to defend himself and others. Now let's talk about what you Hollywood people do with kids," Jack Posobiec said.

On Friday, Bette Midler posted a meme on Twitter that shows Kyle Rittenhouse as a child holding an AR model rifle and read, "This is an actual example of grooming," a reference to many on the social media site that have been calling out users who groom minors into radical gender ideology.

"Kyle was taught at a young age to defend himself and others. Now let's talk about what you Hollywood people do with kids," Jack Posobiec responded and then posted a picture of Midler posing with her daughter and disgraced Hollywood mogul and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein.

"Hi @BetteMidler! Me again. Just wanted to ask how the meeting went when you brought your daughter to Harvey Weinstein. Hope you are well," Posobiec added.

The sexual abuse allegations against the former entertainment mogul go back to the 1970's, and now more than 80 women have come forward to accuse Weinstein of rape and sexual misconduct. According to Rolling Stone, Weinstein's youngest victim was 16 years old. As reported by PBS, Insider, and the BBC, Weinstein's predilections were an open secret in Hollywood and many celebrities knew of his sexual assaults. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison in 2020.

On November 19, 2021 Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all charges related to an incident in which he used an AR-15 to defend his life during a Black Lives Matter riot. Rittenhouse had been charged with first-degree reckless homicide in the death of Joseph Rosenbaum, first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Anthony Huber, first-degree attempted intentional homicide for injuring Gaige Grosskreutz, and two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Rittenhouse had pleaded not guilty to all charges.

On Twitter, Ian Miles Cheong responded to Midler and wrote, "I'm glad he trained young or he might've hit someone innocent!"

Hodgetwins wrote, "The left seeing boys in dresses at a drag show = beautiful, stunning, and brave. The left seeing boys practicing their constitutional rights = dangerous, grooming, and child abuse."

Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger claimed previously that the Antifa mob that pursued Rittenhouse was "full of heroes" and acted correctly when they advanced and attempted to take the teen's rifle. According to Binger, "you lose the right to self-defense when you're the one who brought the gun."

The defense argued that Rittenhouse was pursued and chased by an incensed mob. They argued his life was threatened by Rosenbaum, that Huber beat him with a skateboard, and that Grosskreutz threatened him with a handgun.

Rittenhouse, and the three men shot on the night of August 25, 2020, were all white, but establishment media implied the incident had racial implications.
