Biden DOD claims 'diversity' is 'strategic imperative', gets ROASTED on Twitter

The DoD, with their DEI Summit, is doing exactly as the Commander-in-chief has instructed, and it will likely contribute to the collapse of the complex systems on which the United States stands.

In the wake of the Biden administration's roll out of their latest diversity initiative, enshrined in an Executive Order on Further Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government, the Deparment of Defense reaffirmed their committment to diversity.

"Diversity is a strategic imperative critical to mission readiness and accomplishment. We were on site for the 2023 inaugural @DoD_ODEI Summit as DEIA experts led forums to advance the DEIA and DoD mission -- because our people matter," they said on Twitter.

In response, Twitter CEO Elon Musk took the DoD to task for their focus on the skin color, sexual preference, and gender of those who work in that agency, saying "Your strategic imperative is defending the United States."

Judicial Watch's Tom Fitton stated that "The Left seeks to turn our military into an enforcement arm of the 'Party.'"

In fact, the Biden administration appears to seek to do just that. In their latest executive order, signed last week, the administration dictated that the imperative of all government agencies is to "advance equity."

Biden states that the key goal is "establishing equity-focused leaderships across the federal government," and addresses the Secretary of Defense directly, saying that he, along with heads of other agencies, "shall, within 30 days of the date of this order, ensure that they have in place an Agency Equity Team within their respective agencies to coordinate the implementation of equity initiatives and ensure that their respective agencies are delivering equitable outcomes for the American people."

The DoD, with their DEI Summit, is doing exactly as the Commander-in-chief has instructed, and it will likely contribute to the collapse of the complex systems on which the United States stands.

"Advancing equity," per the definitions in the EO, means "advancing the consistent and systematic treatment of all individuals in a fair, just, and impartial manner." The EO also demands massive staff increases across all agencies with the specific mission of attaining this goal of "equitable outcomes" for the American people. And this is only one of a few dictates Biden demanded unilaterally, without any input from Congress.

The EO also demands that these agencies and their new staff "coordinate with the White House Environmental Justice Interagency Council to ensure that equity and environmental justice efforts are consistent and mutually reinforcing" and " coordinate with the White House Gender Policy Council to align efforts to advance gender equity with broader equity efforts."

The DoD has their own reasons for advancing diversity, as stated on their website. The idea, they believe, is that the color of a person's skin and the background that signifies they must have will bring "more innovative thought, more innovative solutions to incredibly complex and complicated problems that are facing the national security apparatus today."

But there's no reason to believe that this actually pans out. DEI is something of a new "civic religion," Jack Posobiec said on Human Events Daily, speaking to guest Heather McDonald, and pushing back against this idea that diversity is the greatest virtue of Western Civilization.

"The greatest virtue of Western civilization is achievement, accomplishment, exploration, the scientific method, constitutional government, none of those things have any inherent relationship to diversity," McDonald said.

"The reason that we keep talking about diversity right now, it's a code word. If you if you really want to understand what this discourse is all about, diversity is a code word for racial preferences," she said. Institutions that put diversity as their goal are simply implementing racial preferences.

What we are watching, Posobiec has said, is the "collapse of complex systems."

The push for diversity, McDonald said, is actually resulting in "lowered standards."

"You can have diversity, you can have meritocracy. You cannot have both. The reason we're talking about diversity is because left to purely meritocratic standards are our top institutions will not be racially proportionate," she said.

Indeed, the Biden administration has made clear that the top priority is diversity and advancing equity, and they are not particulary concerned with the qualifications of those diverse people, or the means undertaken to acheive the goal. The EO does not give an indicaiton of how standards should be maintained while diversity and equity are sought, it simply demands "equitable outcomes."

The DoD is continuing efforts that have been underway since Biden came into power in 2021. In 2022, the the senior advisor to the secretary of defense for human capital and diversity, equity and inclusion said "I want people to see [diversity, equity and inclusion] as another tool in the toolkit and another way of solving these problems. It's not just something that has to be done because of some type of cultural ideology or culture wars that are going on — that's not the case at all. It is, again, not diversity for diversity's sake," Garrison said.

Gad Saad went with the saracastic approach in response to the DoD when he said "Both the Nazis and Genghis Khan eventually lost their wars because their militaries were not diverse enough. The Chinese army would never dare attack the US if its military has non-binary generals. Thank you for your readiness."

Ian Miles Cheong praised the DoD for their recent success in shooting down hobby balloons.

The administration has touted its record on diversity, and held up the skin colors, sexual preferences, and genders of those who work in and around the White House, with barely a consideration for the merit of ability of those staff to do their jobs.
