Breastfeeding is a struggle, not only in practice but with regard to the social stigma and disgust that has long surrounded the practice. While women have been derided, stigmatized, and belittled for the practice, males who undertake breast feeding are celebrated. Those feminine behaviors and practices that earn women derision earn nothing but praise when they are performed by males.
British midwives have been told to call breastfeeding "chestfeeding" to be more inclusive, the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, too, has opted for this ridiculous term, as media tries to manipulate the public into believing the lie of male motherhood. One documentary special even focused on a trans couple, wherein the female gives birth only for the male to be called mother, be urged to nurse, and be coddled for standing by while the female delivered, with difficulty.
And take for example the latest exclusive article from The Daily Mail, which speaks in glowing terms about Jennifer Buckley, 41 who was "born male and began transitioning to a woman in 2017." Buckley froze Buckley's sperm and fathered a son with wife Sandi, at which point, The Daily Mail writes, an endochrinologist suggested Buckley "try to produce her own breast milk."
Males who identify as transgender and are in relationships with women who give birth have, of late, sought to give that maternal nourishment. Males do not have milk-producing glands as giving milk to young is not the function of the penis-having mammal. Yet doctors have created drug regimens to allow those mammalians males who are already ingesting estrogen to mimic milk production, though the substance produced is not actually milk and is not the nourishment an infant needs.
The reason for giving the mammalian males these drugs and creating the simulation of nursing is entirely to please the male who wants to have this female experience. Essentially, males and females who are in child-producing relationships and have cosmetically reversed their natural roles
Dr. Foteini Kakulas refuted the idea that male breasts can produce milk. "While it is possible for male breast tissue to produce something," she said, "what exactly that is, how it may or may not resemble breast milk, and whether this is healthy for the individual person or for the baby, are all unknown and never been studied."
"In my view in nature only females lactate in mammals, so trying to do something against nature won't result in any good. At the end of the day women make babies and breastfeed," Kakulas said.
Note that Sandi, Buckley's female wife, birthed the child and likely has the capability to nurse. Still, doctors prioritized Buckley's want to be the mother, despite having fathered the child with sperm that came from Buckley's be-penised, male body, and urged Buckley to nurse.
The article notes that Buckley was warned against breastfeeding, but that Buckley "went ahead anyway." Buckley is a health care professional and works as a paramedic.
Buckley said that pumping the "milk" was "exciting."
Buckley wanted to mother the child Buckley had already fathered and said that feeding the infant whatever the bizarre, drug-induced concoction that was able to be wrenched from Buckley's male-bodied breasts made Buckley feel more feminine.
As any mother knows, feeling feminine is not the point of nursing, nourishing a child is.
Buckley was interviewed at length, and lamented that Buckley was unable to both fertilize and carry the embryo, saying "Being a trans woman I can't carry, it's one of the limitations of it all."
"To know I could breastfeed my own child and have that experience, I wanted to be a part of that. I wanted to know what it was like to be a mum and breastfeed," Buckley said.
Buckley went on to complain that Buckley "will never know what's it like to menstruate or carry a baby or give birth," and was unable to forego the potential to breastfeed, as this would be fulfilling for Buckley, despite offering no nutritional value for the child.
"But to be told I could have the opportunity to breastfeed, it was something that was nice to be able to experience as a trans woman," Buckley said. While wife Sandi was nearing the end of her pregnancy, Buckley began taking additional drugs in an effort to nurse the child.
"I never thought it would be possible. I jumped at the opportunity," Buckley said. Sandi, it is reported, "was completely supportive of her wishes while she was pregnant with Auden."
So what was the process of getting Buckley's male breast tissue to become engorged and generate a substance? Buckley began to take more estrogen to "mimic pregnancy," and then began taking anti-nausea drug domperidone, which has been "found to increase levels of the hormone prolactin, which causes breasts to grow and make milk during pregnancy and after birth."
Buckley began to nurse the baby right after birth while Sandi was hemorrhaging due to complications with child birth.
The Daily Mail goes in depth to talk about the difficulty Buckley experienced trying to get the baby to latch and nurse, and details how sad Buckley felt at being made by hospital staff to feel that the product of the male-breast lactation was not mother's milk, despite it not being mother's milk.
The couple opted for both of them to stop nursing and use baby formula when it turned out the child was not being properly nourished, as Buckley was not producing enough milk, and Sandi was having intense and extremely dangerous complications from the experience of child birth.
Women have fought for the right to breastfeed in public despite laws that have explicitly prohibited the practice or leave nursing moms at the mercy of businesses who have the right to allow, or disallow, moms from nursing on their premises. Yet now, as men colonize women's bodies, taking over the appearance of women, redefining beauty standards to include males who surgically and cosmetically accessorize as women, and even begin to try to implant uteruses in an effort to take childbirth from women, these males are celebrated and held up as icons of "pride" and inclusivity.
