BREAKING: Paul Pelosi 'sounded somewhat confused', referred to attacker as 'friend' during 911 call

During the home invasion, DePape apparently allowed Pelosi to use the bathroom, leading to the 911 call where he referred to DePape as a "friend". It is unclear whether Paul Pelosi was trying to say that DePape was his friend or Nancy's friend.

David DePape is accused of breaking into the home of Nancy Pelosi, one of the most powerful lawmakers in America, and assaulting her husband Paul with a hammer. New bizarre details are emerging in the still developing case.

Police dispatch records reveal "[Pelosi] stated there's a male in the home and that he's going to wait for his wife. RP stated that he doesn't know who the male is but he advised that his name is David and that he is a friend.”

During the home invasion, DePape apparently allowed Pelosi to use the bathroom, leading to the 911 call where he referred to DePape as a "friend". It is unclear whether Paul Pelosi was trying to say that DePape was his friend or Nancy's friend.

Other details have emerged about the 42-year-old David DePape.

These details include a history of activism for left-wing ideology and nudist causes. NBC Bay Area Reporter Jaxon Van Derbeken wrote on Friday, "FBI visits Berkeley home tied to Pelosi beating suspect. The Victorian is dubbed a 'hippie collective' by neighbors."

The Post Millennial Editor-at-Large Andy Ngo discussed the home, saying: "'Black lives matter' and other left-wing signs or symbols line the outside of the hippie Berkeley, Calif. commune of where the Pelosi beating suspect lived."

According to the Associated Press, DePape grew up in Powell River, British Columbia who moved to Berkeley, California with his girlfriend roughly 20 years ago. DePape's stepfather, Gene, said his girlfriend was Gypsy Taub with whom he has two children, and David DePape has one other child with a different woman.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, "DePape closely associated with the high-profile nudist Gypsy Taub, a 9/11 denier who disrobed during a hearing inside City Hall. DePape lived with Taub, her three children and her fiance, Jaymz Smith, in a three-bedroom Victorian flat in Berkeley, where he made hemp jewelry and was considered by some to be a 'father figure.'"

One Twitter user captured a hot mic moment from Friday's press conference with the San Francisco Police where an unidentified reporter is overheard speaking to his boss and apparently being told to ignore DePape's nudist activist past.

More recently, DePape's online presence grew erratic and according to Fox News, he wrote blogs focusing on censorship and pedophile rings. DePape's last political party affiliation was with the Green Party.

Mainstream media has only focused on the more recent political activity of DePape, ignoring his left-wing ties.

As Michael Schellengberger reports, "DePape’s politics have little rhyme or reason. In past years DePape shared a post about Stephen Colbert’s 2006 roast of President George W. Bush at the White House Correspondents dinner; linked to videos of Disney films altered to make it look like the characters were swearing; and claimed, 'Jesus is the anti-Christ' — not exactly a litany of right-wing tropes."

One of DePape's neighbors described the family thusly: "What I know about the family is that they’re very radical activists. They seem very left. They are all about the Black Lives Matter movement. Gay pride. But they’re very detached from reality. They have called the cops on several of the neighbors, including us, claiming that we are plotting against them. It’s really weird to see that they are willing to be so aggressive toward somebody else who is also a lefty."
