Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told media on Tuesday that his government has remained "open and transparent" in the WE Charity investigation.

Trudeau said that while the Conservatives continued to focus on the charity scandal, wherein Trudeau attempted to give the Trudeau family-tied WE Charity $912 million, that his government would continue to focus on Canadians.

"We will continue to stay focused on what we need to do to support Canadians facing a very difficult time right now. The Conservatives continue to want to focus on WE Charity. So be it," said the prime minister. "I appeared at committee myself months ago, we released thousands of pages of documents. We've been open and transparent on these questions. But the Conservatives continue want to focus on that, that certainly can. We will stay focused on Canadians while we let committees do their work independently."

The documents Trudeau mentioned, though, had large amounts of redacted text, as shown by Conservative Finance Critic Pierre Poilievre, who at a fiery press conference showed several blacked out pages that could contain damning information.

Trudeau said that his government would remained focused on Canadians "while we let the committees do their work independently," though those same committees were halted as soon as Trudeau announced that Parliament would be prorogued in August.

While the committees have resumed, they to have once again come to a standstill, as a cabinet filibuster to block disclosure of corporate fees made to the Trudeau family—including his brother, wife, and his mother—has now entered its second week.

As reported by Blacklock's, Liberal MPs on the Commons ethics committee "have delayed a vote to release records detailing hundreds of thousands paid to Trudeaus."

Public records show that $758,751 has been obtained by the Trudeau's through speaking fees, trips, and gifts.

Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus called the MPs actions "ridiculous and completely out of order."
