'Gates of hell opened' as 'bird is freed': Lefties lose it on Twitter after Elon Musk takeover

Musk immediately terminated CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and head of legal policy, trust, and safety Vijaya Gadde, due to feeling misled over the number of bot accounts on the website. Gadde was head of the team that made the call to permanently suspend former president Donald Trump.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk officially took the reigns of Twitter Thursday, announcing his plans to defeat the "echo chamber," and sacking multiple top executives.

Musk immediately terminated CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and head of legal policy, trust, and safety Vijaya Gadde, due to feeling misled over the number of bot accounts on the website, reported Fox News. According to Business Insider, Gadde was head of the team that made the call to permanently suspend former president Donald Trump.

"the bird is freed," Musk wrote Thursday night, after the deal was final, to which leftist writer Molly Jong-Fast replied; "This bird feels like it’s heading into a glass door or very large window."

Under the impending threat of free speech for those they disagree with, many prominent leftists have voiced their concerns about the tech billionaire acquiring the platform. Washington Post technology columnist Taylor Lorenz described it as if "the gates of hell opened."

New England Complex Systems Institute Covid Task Force chief Eric Feigl-Ding said of the change in ownership; "God save @Twitter and humanity."

On Musk becoming the new leader of Twitter, St. John's Law professor Kate Klonick said "Being a free speech absolutist doesn’t really work."

Despite the far left's impression that Musk bought the platform just to ruin their lives, the mogul actually met with several groups and is taking interest in multiple business functions within the company, according to leaked internal messages.

Musk also said that Twitter won't become a "free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences." Instead, the website will be "warm and welcoming to all, where you can choose your desired experience according to your preferences."
