Herschel Walker responds to unhinged MSNBC guest who called him a 'negro'

Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker delivered a classy faith-filled response on Monday to an unhinged MSNBC host that went on a hateful rant and called Walker a "negro."

The volatile situation occurred on MSNBC's "The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross" over the weekend, where the host had MSNBC's Elie Mystal on as a guest. Walker addressed the comments in a post on Twitter and said that MSNBC is in his prayers.

"Shame on MSNBC and shame on him. I'm going to pray for both of them because they need Jesus," Walker said.

"When I saw what he said it reminded me of the differences between myself and my opponents, Senator Warnock and the left-wing crazies that believe America is fundamentally a bad country full of racist people. They want to divide us, turn us against each other. We have our problems but we can solve them together," Herschel continued.

Adding, "This is a good country full of good people. With God's help, we're going to bring the people of Georgia back together. Let's make this a great day. God bless!"

Elie Mystal, who host's "Face the Nation" on MSNBC, told Tiffany Cross that Hershel Walker is going "to do what he's told" because "that's what Republicans want from their negroes."

"It’s going to be a close election in Georgia because Walker has the backing of the Republicans," Mystal said. "You ask why are Republicans backing this man who's so clearly unintelligent, who so clearly doesn't have independent thoughts, but that's actually the reason. Walker is going do what he's told, and that is what Republicans like. That's what Republicans want from their Negroes: to do what they were told. And Walker presents exactly as a person who lacks independent thoughts, lacks an independent agenda, lacks an independent ability to grasp policies, and he's just going to go in there and vote like Mitch McConnell tells them to vote."

This is not the first time Mystal has verbally attacked Walker. In April, Mystal wrote a column titled "The Herschel Walker Senate Campaign Is an Insult to Black People," where he called Walker's campaign a "political minstrel show," according to Fox News.

Republican National Committee spokesman Paris Dennard responded to MSNBC's hateful segment and said that Mystal is responsible for stowing division.

"It is shameful to see MSNBC continue to give platform to someone like Elie Mystal, who only seeks to divide, insult and degrade Black Americans who happen to be Republican voters. There are more than 100 free-thinking Black Republican candidates like Herschel Walker, who are a threat to the Democrat Party," Dennard told Fox News.
