It remains to be seen whether the "comedy" program will keep this tweet up, or if it will quietly delete it as they have done so in the past.

The CBC program "22 Minutes," came under fire on Saturday evening when it Tweeted a joke about black Trump supporters that many characterized as racist.

The tweet was in reference to reports that Twitter has recently deleted several accounts of individuals posing as black Trump supporters. A Twitter spokesperson told CNN that the accounts were removed after being flagged for tweeting to  "artificially amplify or suppress information."

"Twitter has suspended accounts pretending to be Black Trump supporters," the comedy account tweeted. "The hint of suspicious activity? They said they were Black Trump supporters."

Many found the joke about the situation distasteful, in that it seemed to suggest that black Americans all share the same political views, or belittle those who stray from the norm.

CBC is the state funded broadcaster, meaning the content produced is entirely paid for by taxpayers. This is not the first time this program has attacked conservatives as just one month ago, the account made fun of CPC Leader Erin O'Toole for contracting COVID. That tweet was deleted.

It remains to be seen whether the "comedy" program will keep this tweet up, or if it will quietly delete it as they have done so in the past.
