A woman who claims to be the mother of a transgender six-year-old called Bug has made a TikTok video asking for donations to her legal fund so that she can fight the child’s father in court after he filed for a modification of custody because he opposes the child being labeled as transgender.
On her GoFundMe page, the mother complains about having shared custody with the child’s father and accuses him of “inflicting damage” to his relationship with his child for attempting to ground the six-year-old in material reality.
This is not the first time this mother has attracted attention on social media for speaking out about her so-called “transgender child.” Earlier this year, the Post Millennial reported her claiming in a TikTok video that her male child had “come out” as a girl in the pediatrician’s office at just three years of age, and by age five was correcting everyone’s use of pronouns.
In a later video, the mother asked for advice on how to talk to a five-year-old about cross-sex hormones, claiming the question of when the child would “get boobs” had come up.
In the latest video, shared on Twitter by Eye in the Classroom, the mother explains that the child’s father had “filed for a modification of custody on the grounds that he says I'm making [the six-year-old] be transgender.”
She doesn’t go into the specifics of the case, but explains that there is an upcoming court date, and asks for “good vibes, prayers,” and of course, money to help pay the lawyer’s fees.
“I really hate asking for money but it's for my kid,” ends the TikTok video. “So I will do whatever I have to do in order to keep [my child] safe. Send some good juju, please.”
