For a small donation, supporters of Haley's campaign can get their hands on beer koozies that say "Past my prime?" and "Hold my beer."
"For all of you who took issue with the haters saying that we are past our prime," Haley wrote on Twitter, "this one's for you. We've got this."
Haley revealed that the limited edition koozie, which can be purchased via a campaign donation website winred.com, will be available to anyone who chips in $7 or more.
On Twitter, many called out Haley for the stunt, calling it "cringe" and the presidential candidate a "boomer."
"Don Lemon baited Nikki Haley and she was dumb enough to take the bait and respond, plus do so in the cringest way possible," wrote Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec.
"Imagine what world leaders would do to a mental lightweight like her if she can't even handle Don Lemon."
"Ok neocon," wrote Timcast Editor-in-Chief Cassandra MacDonald.
"How do you do fellow kids," wrote Committee to Unleash Prosperity president Phil Kerpen, referencing a line said by actor Steve Buscemi said in a 30 Rock episode.
"This is something Elizabeth Warren would produce," wrote one Twitter user.
"Truly a cringe campaign," another Twitter user wrote.
The koozie sayings came in response to comments made by CNN This Morning host Don Lemon, who said women are "in their prime" in their 20s, 30s, and "maybe 40s" in regards to Haley calling for politicians over the age of 75 to take yearly mental competency tests. The comment has resulted in calls for Lemon to be fired, with female staff members at CNN stating that they would leave if Lemon was allowed to keep his job.
"Nikki Haley isn't in her prime, sorry," Lemon said. "When a woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s, and 30s, and maybe 40s ... I don't– I'm not saying I agree with that, so I think she has to be careful about saying that politicians aren't in their prime and need to be."
Lemon was lambasted by his cohost Poppy Harlow, who pushed back against his definition of "prime." He later apologized via Twitter, saying his comments were "inartful and irrelevant."
"A woman’s age doesn't define her either personally or professionally," he continued. "I have countless women in my life who prove that every day."
