The annual unveiling of the White House Christmas decorations took place on Monday and among the 77 Christmas trees and more than 83,000 lights, there are stockings hung over the fireplace. One for each of the Biden grandchildren, except the one for Navy Joan Roberts, Hunter Biden’s four-year-old daughter, is missing.
According to the Daily Mail, even First Dog Commander and First Cat Willow got a stocking, but Hunter’s child, whose mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts, was a stripper who worked in a club Hunter frequented during his wild drug-fuelled days, didn’t get a spot on the mantelpiece.
The Bidens, Hunter included, have apparently never even met Navy, who is being raised by her mother in Arkansas. Initially, Hunter was unable to recall ever having met the child’s mother but after a DNA test confirmed him to be the father, he reached a $2.5 million settlement with Roberts in 2020.
Navy is the fourth of Hunter’s five children, and the Daily Mail reports that she was conceived while Hunter was in a relationship with his dead brother’s widow, Hallie Biden, whom he got together with after Beau Biden, his older brother, died of brain cancer in 2015.
The President’s son married his current wife, Melissa Cohen, just one week after they met, and the couple have a two-year-old child, Beau, named after Hunter’s deceased brother.
Earlier this year, Hunter requested his child support payments be adjusted as he claims he can no longer afford to pay them. This is not the first time he has tried to plead poverty as a means to avoid supporting his child.
"I attest that I am unemployed and have had no monthly income since May 2019," the Daily Mail reported him telling a court in 2019. Hunter was at the time living in a $12,000-a-month Los Angeles rental property and driving a Porsche. The Daily Mail further reported that Hunter’s company had made $11 million from 2013 to 2018.
According to his memoir, Beautiful Things, Hunter squandered vast sums of wealth in a hedonistic lifestyle of drug-fuelled parties.
