On Thursday, prominent Antifa group "It's Going Down" was suspended from Twitter.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk made a pledge to rid the platform of violent extremists.

According to The Post Millennial editor-at-large Andy Ngo, the "terror linked Antifa propaganda site" infamously instructed its readers to "carry out political violence," and claimed responsibility for a terrorist attack on a railroad in Washington state in 2020 that led to the conviction of two militants.

In November, Ngo brought IGD to the attention of Elon Musk, warning the billionaire that it was "one of the far-left accounts that incite violence & share extremist propaganda" on the site.

He provided screenshots of posts shared by IGD teaching readers that "physically fighting brings more people in than sign holding or writing letters to the editor," and that burning police stations is "crucially important" in the fight against fascism.

The group also gave readers a step-by-step guide to destroy evidence after taking part in a demonstration, telling them to "dispose of [the clothes they wore] if you did anything that might have been illegal," and "ditch" tools "before they become evidence."

IGD describes themselves as "a digital community center for anarchist, anti-fascist, autonomous anti-capitalist and anti-colonial movements across so-called North America" that seeks to "provide a resilient platform to publicize and promote revolutionary theory and action."

In 2020, the group was kicked off Facebook as part of a crackdown on pages that promoted violence. With their Twitter account now also suspended, they have been relegated to Mastadon.

On Thursday, Musk made it clear that Twitter would not play host to violent extremist groups, vowing to prevent such ideas from being promoted by any group.

The statement was made in response to a question posed in the replies on a post by Ngo, who revealed five new arrests in an Atlanta Antifa autonomous zone.
