"Parents-check your school districts’ policy regarding keeping info about YOUR child secret from you," an account called The Principle’s Office posted on Twitter. "There are some scary policies out there. Schools should not have a right to keep info about your child from you unless abuse by you is suspected. There I said it and mean it."
Karen (Kelly) Love, a teacher for the Auburn School District responded to the tweet writing, "I cannot disagree with this more. So many students are not safe in this nation from their Christo-fascist parents. And our guidelines and laws haven’t caught up with this."
Ian Prior, a senior advisor at American First Legal took a screenshot of the exchange and posted it to the platform stating, "Teacher in Washington State thinks schools don’t go far enough to keep secrets about their students because they ‘are not safe in this nation from their Christo-fascist parents.'"

In another thread, a user tweeted, "It's absolutely wild to me how few educators have a working knowledge of the history of racism and oppression in this nation."
Love replied, "Because many of them are perpetrators of it– 80% of teachers are white women. And at least statistically, over 50% of them vote for upholding white supremacy and patriarchy."
After Prior's tweet went vial, Love protected her tweets and took down her profile on other social media platforms including LinkedIn.
On her website "Mrs. Love’s Blog-O-Rama," under the section "Anti-Racist Work" in an article about "parents and guardians," Love wrote, "Generational trauma, systemic racism, and white supremacy create a toxic mix when parents come into a meeting about their child."
She added, "The assumptions, stereotypes, and white savior tropes get in the way of many (white) teachers."
In an article in the section entitled “newsworthy,” Love wrote, “News about taxes, deductions, living wages, etc., affects all of us. Challenge yourself to learn more about economics and our capitalistic system of money.”
“Learn more about how public school segregation still exists and how it affects your students.”
Love also posted a graphic from AllSides denoting her opinion of media bias claiming the “R” Column, which included outlets such as Fox News and the New York Post that she “can support the claim that the R side is also full of propaganda outlets.”
She also asked, “how is your school/district affected by immigration policies? Who is being harmed by them? What propaganda and conspiracy theories are being used to harm students?”
In an article titled, “Abolitionist: Hero or Sidekick?” Love wrote during the BLM/Antifa riots that rocked the Pacific Northwest in 2020, Portland’s history of white supremacy goes back decades. Some of us like to imagine that Portland is some kind of 90s haven as seen in Portlandia.”
“I’ve lived in the Seattle area for the past 25 years, and while I am no Portland expert, there is a vibe from the Pacific Northwest I love. But like most American cities, there is the rot of racism and bigotry. I naively believed I lived in some kind of peaceful, rainbow, mystical peace world…”
In discussing the “role we play in supporting #BLM,” Love celebrated progressive critical race theory activist Ta-Nehisi. Coates, and wrote, “our nation began with the sin of slavery, and it is that sin we must atone for, make reparations.” She also suggested in the fight for “abolitionism” that “praise, defamation, shaming, or centering,” should be replaced with “fight, justice, anti-racism, and abolitionism,” adding that “whiteness must not be centered.”
Love also unloaded her wrath on then President Donald Trump writing, "is my fear that Portland, and now Seattle, are Trump’s dress rehearsals. I am not sure what his thinking, or that of Stephen Miller, or Trump’s other puppeteers, are planning as their end game. Maybe it’s just this: 'practice' in Portland, see how much they can get away with, move to Seattle, and then onto cities with larger populations of BIPOC, like Chicago, (50% white, 30% Black) Detroit, and Baltimore. They will keep pushing, harming, and even killing as many they can get away with to maintain control and power. This is how it happens. This is where we are."
“Why numbers? Because if 53% of white women voted for the abomination that’s currently in the Oval Office…this is a catastrophic failure that lands squarely on the shoulders of white people.”
She concluded the article by stating, “That’s why many teachers like myself craved works like the #1619 project, Facing History, #DisruptTexts, Zinn Education Project, and others.”
