Former president Donald Trump has revealed his plan to save American education.
He suggested the pathway to success includes giving parents more rights regarding what their children learn, investigating discrimination, and ensuring material that indoctrinates students in Marxist ways of thinking do not make it into classrooms.
"Public Schools have been taken over by the radical left maniacs," Trump began, suggesting that "the Marxism being preached in our schools is also totally hostile to Judeo-Christian teachings," and resembles "an established new religion."
"We will cut federal funding for any school or program pushing critical race theory, gender ideology or other inappropriate racial, sexual or political content onto our children," Trump stated.
He added that his administration would direct the DOJ and DOE to investigate any school engaging in race-based discrimination, but not before gutting the latter of the "radicals, zealots and Marxists" who were given "unchecked power" by President Biden.
"As the saying goes personnel is policy," Trump continued, "and at the end of the day, if we have pink-haired communists teaching our kids, we have a major problem."
He vowed to create a credentialing body that would work to certify teachers who "embrace patriotic values support our way of life and understand that their job is not to indoctrinate children."
Trump suggested that a key aspect of fixing the American education system is returning power to parents, and outlined a number of ways he would implement that ideal.
He called for the abolition of tenure for K-12 teachers, a drastic reduction of the "divisive and unnecessary Diversity, Equity and Inclusion bureaucracy," and the establishment of a parental bill of rights.
"It's all about the parents for their children more than anyone else parents know what their children need," he said. "If any principal is not getting the job done, the parents should be able to vote to fire them and select someone who will. This will be the ultimate form of local control."
Reaction to Trump's message was largely positive.
Anti-woke crusader and atheist James Lindsay praised the former president for his ability to call a spade a spade and deem wokeness a new religion.
"Nobody knows more about how Woke is a cult religion than me," he added. "It is one. Believe me. Big league."
